The Overseas Firefighters parade for Bastille Day

Since 2008, France’s professional and volunteer firefighters have been honoured at the 14 July parade in Paris, through a battalion formed each year by one of the French defence zones. For 2025, the Antilles-Guyane zone was chosen to form the 18th Firefighters Battalion of France, bringing together Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, Mayotte, La Réunion, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and Wallis-and-Futuna — led by the Guadeloupe SDIS.
