Created by Philippe Katerine in 2020, “mignonisme” (roughly, “cutenessism”) consists of assembling two objects that were never meant to meet in order to create a work in its own right. At Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche, this philosophy comes to life in the atrium, through photographs, sculptures inspired by childhood toys, drawings and paintings, and a huge pink character, Monsieur Rose, who explores the store and chats with his friends perched on the architecture of the place.
